By the way, I've followed this http://moinejf.free.fr/gspca_README.txt and still it shows black image or weird image. I've tried as suggested there with LD_PRELOAD=/usr/local/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so and it says:
ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/local/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored. ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/local/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored. I am attaching the image from Kopete (for example). 2008/11/23 Gustavo A.
