Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome
I'm running 64 bit Ibex with all the latest updates on my gateway laptop. My touchpad has a square area to control cursor movement (cursor pad) and a narrow scroll area (scroll strip) to its right. Occasionally the cursor pad will perform a scroll function instead of control the cursor. The result is I keep flipping to the opposite desktop unexpectedly instead of moving the cursor. A second effect that I have noticed is that "move window" mode will occasionally invoke if I initiate cursor motion at a time when the cursor is already in the top bar of a window. This mode is only supposed to invoke if I press the left button before I initiate. The last effect I have noticed is the mode (such as the move window mode or scroll mode) of the cursorpad will linger for a few seconds even when the input for causing such a mode (such as a left button or using the scroll strip) is removed. The result can be the same as the effects previously mentioned. ** Affects: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- touchpad will sometimes do the wrong thing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/301188 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
