Just installed Jaunty Alpha 1 today It doesn't appear to be saving sound settings.
Every reboot and the sound is muted. And I've found something else. my 5.1 set is totally messed up. There is only sound on the front left speaker and surround left. I even try the paconfig (Pulseaudio configuration utility) http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=759147 It always did the trick for me since Hardy and nothing happens. PS: I also just noticed that the first sound on the GDM prompt my subwoofer actually is working. But after login the sound is muted.
