Is this really a bug? apt-get said:
The following packages have unmet dependencies: selinux: Conflicts: apparmor but 2.1+1075-0ubuntu6 is to be installed So it is saying that you already have apparmor installed, and it conflicts with selinux, so it's stuck, you have asked it to do something impossible. aptitude presumably decided to remove the apparmor package and then install selinux, which is of course what you really intended. apt-get doesn't guess like that, it just tries to do what you tell it. Why is it a bug that apt-get refuses to install a package which would conflict with something already installed on your system? ** Changed in: selinux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- unable to install in Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
