I saw a clock freeze while testing suspend and hibernate. I believe it is possible to happen with proper timing even without suspend or hibernate.
I have rewritten the clock time setting code to use a lot simpler and faster method, so this should now also be fixed in svn. Fix will appear in Xfce 4.6 RC1.
