My parents PC was hit by this bug today. I got a phone call from my father and he tells me that the numblock keys don't work anymore. So I connect to his PC with vinagre and find out he's right. I tell him to reboot the machine, but the problem is still there after reboot. Then I ran xev on his machine and saw that the keyboard was generating events as expected. My father plugged in another keyboard and everything worked fine.
I searched the net and found this bug. I've never heard of the SHIFT-NUMLOCK key combination before... I think this behavior (killing numblock keys even after reboot) needs immediate fixing. -- Numeric keypad no longer works after upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197589 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
