But note that firefox (redirected over ssh) did not show these problems, so a video problem seems not to be the case (or firefox handles video differently as nautilus?).
Another thing to mention is that the machine I logged in remotely was in the login window state. By this I mean that I was not logged in their locally.. so in fact I am starting nautilus there in a state that there is no ubuntu user session open.
