new version of krita uploaded 1.9.98.2 but still it's impossible to open any jpeg file with it. As told before a little bit strange (at the least) for an image editing software. Basically krita2 is useless on intredit. As the reason of this is well known I must admit that I have some difficulty to understand why this bug has not been resolved. If you can't (for package conflict) compile krita correctly remove it from the repisotery.
