Public bug reported:

I tried using severals scanning programs under Ubuntu 8.10. (Eg.: xsane,
kooka, OOo, GIMP).

Additional informations:

I see there is a permission problem, but I coudn't find which file's
permissions has to be modified.

The dmesg's output:
