There seems to be a simple way to fix the issue with resolutions. I don't know if there is something similar for the rotation issue.
The xorg.conf file had entries only for the 1400x1050 resolution I added one for 1280x1024. Now after resume, I can change resolutions using xrandr SubSection "Display" Depth 24 Modes "1400x1050" "1280x1024" EndSubSection I did not touch the xorg.conf file after the breezy->edgy update. So either the file was changed during the update or not having the 1280x1024 resolution did not cause this problem in breezy -- RandR doesn't work anymore (after suspend?) https://launchpad.net/bugs/56213 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
