Same issue here. This is more serious because it's probably keeps LCD from turning off. Try to do this in terminal: # sudo dmesg -c (This will print debug information and clear the buffer, so next time you execute "dmesg" it should give you empty output)
# xset dpms force off && dmesg It will give you this output: [ 697.792010] atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xf7 on isa0060/serio0). [ 697.792037] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e077 <keycode>' to make it known. [ 697.795261] atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xf7 on isa0060/serio0). [ 697.795271] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e077 <keycode>' to make it known. and what is worse, it won't actually let you keep your screen off. Instead it will: 1. turn off LCD for a second or two 2. Blink image of your desktop for a second 3. Blank your LCD (You will see black screen, but with LCD backlight still on) I'm using MSI Wind U100 -- laptop key errors in messages on advent 4211 (badged msi wind) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261635 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
