** Description changed:

The X Server (i think it's the x server that crashes) crashes at random
times while im working with KDE. When the session crashes, the screen
become black and the user login screen from kdm appears (like when i'm
  pressing CTRL-ALT-Backspace).

It occurs mostly when i'm editing configurations of KDE. Sometimes when
i'm in the Wallpaper-config dialog, sometimes when i'm locking the
desktop widgets. Sometimes when i'm adjusting something in the
systemsettings. The last time it crashed i tried to start "konsole" from
within the "ALT-F2 dialog". But all in all it occurs very often but not
in a reproducable manner. It always occured in the same moment i was
clicking on something (not only "ok" buttons, also the "select a file"
  button in the wallpaper-config dialog).

+ I think it is caused by the kwin window manager since the crashes
+ doesn't occur anymore while using the openbox wm with KDE.
+
I'm using a Intrepid installation with KDE 4.1.3 (had already the
problem with 4.1.2) with NVidia graphics and activated desktopeffects
  (compositing? the transparent stuff etc).
