Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

If I run pabrowse, I see a remote sink advertised in the local LAN:

=> new sink <[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ALSA PCM on front:0 (ALC883 Analog) via DMA>
server: tcp:192.168.0.21:4713 mg-desktop
server-version: pulseaudio 0.9.10
user-name: mg
fqdn: mg-desktop
cookie: 0xad3f8960
device: alsa_output.pci_8086_284b_sound_card_0_alsa_playback_0
description: n/a
sample spec: s16le 2ch 44100Hz

=> new server <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
server: tcp:192.168.0.21:4713 mg-desktop
server-version: pulseaudio 0.9.10
user-name: mg
fqdn: mg-desktop
cookie: 0xad3f8960

I also have checked the 'Make discoverable network sound devices
available locally' checkbox in paprefs. However pavucontrol doesn't
show this sink.

This works for me in a different LAN, where the pulseaudio sink is
available from quarter.local. The difference in hostnames could be
significant: http://www.pulseaudio.org/ticket/284 tells about problems
caused by hostnames containing a dash, but that bug was closed 5 months
ago.
