Hi Wagtongue, try to run this command in the terminal:
alsamixer -Dhw pay attention to the "-Dhw" part. In the screen that shows up, DOUBLE check that the PCM volume is not set to 0. It seems that on some Intrepid installations it is inexplicably so. More so if you upgraded via the update manager instead of doing a fresh install. Anyhow, I'd also suggest you to google for the "alsa-info.sh" scritp. Save it somewhere, make it runnable ("sudo chmod u+x ./alsa-info.sh") and the run it. It automatically uploads a LOT of info about your system to some web site (I don't remember which one) Then just copy the URL to the material your script published on that site here. I'm not an official triager but that's what you're going to be asked anyhow. Hope this helps Bye Cato ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- no sound for macbook pro Santa Rosa intel 82810H https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/295378 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
