I would like to see this package as well. I want to create some 3d environments, but I am not ready to learn C++ just yet and this is the only free 3d graphics engine that has a python wrapper.
I can confirm the problem with the hardy package, it indeed doesn't install because of the problem mentioned by the poster above me.
