server-kernel did not fix my issue - it still freezes. Interesting fact - if it can help - I am running BOINC, and when the system gets frozen, if I kill BOINC task - everything gets back to normal. BTW, my config is amd64 (on Core2Duo), patched with latest kernel 2.6.27-8
