Hi stlubuntu, hi Ubuntu team passing by... ;-)

I found out the trick, in order to be sure I went in virtualbox, and
first I removed Firefox (incase anything messes up in between the messy
browser folders... )

I installed Seamonkey-browser in Intrepid Ibex. After several tries I
did a search on the web (I've seen the other bug reports from stlubuntu
with no answers).

Here started one answer : stlubuntu you were close ! →
http://www.mozilla-enigmail.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=332&p=1316

quote: "In order to install Enigmail on Seamonkey, you have to run
Seamonkey as Administrator (on all platforms)."

So I did invoke with gksu :

gksu seamonkey

Then I did something you might have forgotten to do : went to the
preferences section and added "https://addons.mozilla.org/"; to the list
of sites authorised to install applications and extensions.

(Menu Edit > preferences > section advanced > installation of software
(whatever name in english : mine is french - then click on "Autorised
sites" button)

After it's easy to add the URL. Just after you can close the preferences
windows and add the extensions.

It just worked for me now, for the en-US dictionnary.
