Public bug reported: Maple interface does not work, one gets the message
generic maple program roman 10 blue [dead] after texmacs appears to have launched tm_maple. A similar problem with the maxima interface was easily fixed, see https://launchpad.net/distros/ubunt... but the same fix does not work for the maple interface.
