It seems this bug is at least "confused" - it is really more useful to fill a
separated bug under the correct Ubuntu package (eg. firefox) for each problem
you still encounter with the final Ubuntu 8.10 release.
This particular bug seems related to a Compiz crash, not described in the bug
description.
You should give more details about that particular Compiz crash:
* the steps you took to reproduce the problem
* whether you are able to reproduce again that issue (with final Ubuntu 8.10)
* the expected result of your actions
* the actual result of these actions.
I strongly encourage you to fill bug reports for any other issue you may
encounter with Ubuntu, in particular for the issues you listed on this
bug description.
