Ooops, I have just seen that the IIS reports a 404 on the file because it doesn't know the file "extension". I now put one to it:
http://temp.mkcs.at/linux/initrd.img-2.6.27-7-generic.bin So, if anyone downloads this file, be aware of removing the ".bin" at the end of the filename!
