What i meant with "i hope this helps." was that i hope you can make a real patch for udev out of it. I don't know the procedure here. Who has the rights to upload this to udev? Will this be a ubuntu fix only or can someone inform the udev developers?
Meanwhile i tested the patch in my system and it boots perfectly now.
