Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pmount
pmount on a USB drive gave: "Error: device /dev/sdb is not removable", but "cat /sys/block/sdb/removable" yielded 1. Adding /dev/sdb to /etc/pmount.allow fixed the problem, but man pmount says that /sys/block/*/removable being OR being listed in /etc/pmount.allow is enough to indicate removability. apt-cache policy pmount: pmount: Installed: 0.9.17-2 Candidate: 0.9.17-2 Version table: *** 0.9.17-2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: pmount (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- pmount ignoring /sys/block/*/removable in intrepid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/296164 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
