Magnus, thanks for your reply. Please be aware that I will be here only
for another 15 days, so if you need some more debug info (I don't know
if there are tools to read raw packets even without being associated to
an AP, for example) we both will want to be quick :)

I am attaching the information required, except for the log which is
completely uninformative: I have no means to attempt to associate as the
network is not listed at all. The network is called "NETGEAR" and
_sometimes_ I can see an alternate network called "C.D.NETGEAR" which is
protected. Don't know if it's a bug or a truly different network but I
never see it in windows. Also there is nothing in the logs when
scanning.
