Public bug reported:

When sleep is entered in 8.10 either via the power save or via manual
selection, the network manager breaks and no further network operations
are possible until after a reboot.

This started immediately after inserting a new wireless card that uses
this new driver, my older b43 setup was fine.

dmesg shows
[  550.436046] pci_legacy_suspend(): wl_suspend+0x0/0x70 [wl] returns -5
[  550.436073] pm_op(): pci_pm_suspend+0x0/0xa0 returns -5

and lspci shows 02:02.0 to be
