Just as a wild guess--Where is the mouse pointing before you move it? By any chance do you have a clip or MP# of Sweet Home Alabama on your desktop where your mouse points on startup?
I ask because I am sometimes surprised to hear something unexpected and realize it is because I have accidentally positioned my mouse over a sound file on my desktop or in a folder display. I guess this is a preview, and I think this feature may have been added in Hardy. Nevertheless I'm often startled.
