I can confirm that this bug is still in effect in Intrepid with the latest updates as of this morning (Nov 7th). I'm running a 7600GT with the proprietary drivers. The bug happens when I have Visual Effects set to Normal and when I use my mouse to hover over the Min/Max/Close/leftside icons in the window titlebar.
The bug ONLY occurs if the window is currently in focus, and ONLY occurs with the mouse cursor over the titlebar buttons. If it is not in focus, then no amount of hovering will create artifacts.
