I'm not quite certain what you're asking about the context menu. I'll try to state the issue more clearly.
Normally, I left-click (or shift-left-click or ctrl-left-click) to select file(s) I want to copy from the source directory. I select Copy from the context menu, then move to the target folder on the SMB share in the same Nautilus window. At that point I right-click the target folder. Sometimes the "Paste into folder" selection is grayed out / not available. I should have done more work on this to try to define the problem more precisely before posting, but it's not consistent at all -- except for one thing. It does seem that I'm more likely to have the problem with the target system that uses an external USB wireless NIC. The thing is that I don't believe it could be a permissions issue at the target because drag-and-drop always works. I just prefer to use the right-click context menu, as I suspect that it's a little less error- prone. -- Nautilus will not consistently Paste into SMB share. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294188 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
