No, this issue hasn't been fixed. When I do precisely what Mark Garrow suggests, the fix only lasts for a few days or gnome restarts, at best, and then it just magically rechecks itself again. I cannot recount how many documents i have now lost when Gnome borks on me. I am about to dump Ubuntu and go back to windows if I can't find a fix for this.
