"cuts" refer to the selections on each CD--it is an old term from the
days of needle-drop records.
what I am trying to decribe here is that the program often does not
recognize that there are, e.g.,
four selections, songs, whatever, within a CD file. So--suppose the
CD was of a Beethoven Sonata.
Even though there were four distinct sections that one could "que" on
a CD player, the program
sometimes does not recognize these divisions and treats the file as
just one large file.
