Public bug reported:

I use the latest Ubuntu 8.10 but the bug was also present in Ubuntu 8.04.
Hardware: Asus Z83SV series laptop. Video card Nvidia 8600GS 256Mb. CPU Intel
Centrino Dual Core.
The proprietary drivers is in use. Everithing is OK. Full compiz effects etc.
Using nvidia-settings I change my settings to Dual Monitor (another LCD flat
panel to external VGA connector).
Everithing is OK. Now I see two X-window (nvidia-settings calls them screen0
and screen1).
Now it's time to bug : on screen1 I can not make more then two workspaces.
When I try to change it (right click on workspaces icon, properties, change
digit to, for example, 4), the quantity of workspaces remains two BUT on
opposite screen (screen0) it changes to 4!

If I do the same for screen0, everithing is OK. I can make as many
workspaces as I want.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
