Public bug reported: I am a EEE 901 user with Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex (v8.10).
GoogleEarth was properly working on Xandros, but it goes horribly slow in Ubuntu, and I don't know why. I followed with NO LUCK these instructions (that I think are for a eee 701, a less powerfull machine): http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:fixgoogleearthspeed In my case... 1) I don't see the "drmWaitVBlank" errors neither before or after applying the patch BUT the application is unusably slow both before and after patching. 2) In my case there is NO atmosphere option in GoogleEarth configuration to change from true to false, so I created it (to false) and I get the feeling that it doesn't change anything (I think the atmosphere is there still). What can I do now? Any ideas? ** Affects: googleearth-package (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- GoogleEarth unusably-slow on eee 901 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294034 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
