Now I installed the "fglrx-modialises" package on my intrepid
installation, and jockey recognised my graphics card and offered me to
install the fglrx. I clicked the "Activate" button and the installation
of fglrx finished, I restarted my system. X couldn't start anymore - I
booted into console. After that, I ran "sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh
xserver-xorg" to reset the mess in xorg.conf that jockey-gtk created,
and after that X started, but kept restarting itself like a maniac.

I've provided both the xorg.0.log while failing to load X with fglrx and
xorg.0.log while using the radeon driver that kept my X restarting. Just
after deleting the xorg-driver-fglrx package and restarting the system,
radeon driver works well again. Why radeon driver doesn't work if fglrx
is installed, even if fglrx is not used?? And I have one question more:

This is an insert from xorg.0.log:
(EE) fglrx(0): Unable to initialize PCS database
(EE) fglrx(0): Missing PCS defaults file /etc/ati/amdpcsdb.default
(EE) fglrx(0): PreInit failed

What is PCS database? Where can I find a sample of
/etc/ati/amdpcsdb.default file? Why this file isn't installed by jockey-
gtk while it installed fglrx?
