Similar to s.O.f.o.s above but I have a GeForce 4 MX440 card. I edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf as above and then after ctlr+alt+backspace I get
"Ubuntu running in low-graphics mode" Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.so Failed to load module "nvidia" (loader failed, 7) No drivers available. Anyone any ideas what I needed to do that the others have done and suceeded?
