I have the same problem as tocotac. I was upgrading from 8.04 to 8.10. It is an IBM T22 laptop. I'm not sure how to copy the files you requested as I'm a bit of a Noobie but the error message is the same except the mine is in English.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I can't use my laptop at the moment.
