You should know what you are doing here on the long run, Bryce Harrington: Someone tries to help Ubuntu, doesn't just complain but fixes a bug (doesn't matter how cosmetically it is), provides a patch which is working perfectly - if you want you can even cut out the French translation - costs you 1 minute.
Then you/Ubuntu are declining the patch. I know it is not critical. But I often see this in Ubuntu - this is very frustrating for people who want to help. Waiting 6 month for a translation update or a string change is not that easy to understand.
