I've had Amarok and Rhythmbox running from the console when the 'scratch' problem I mentioned occurred, and they didn't output anything, but I think the right people are already aware of this issue from what I've read during my searches concerning this problem. Something related to buffering.
In regards to the lock-ups, I tried switching everything over to alsa, both in sound preferences and in Amarok, and it didn't help. Then I tried doing the pusleaudio fixes described in this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=866965, but Amarok still locked up. I'm listening to music in Rhythmbox right now to see if it will lock up. This is getting pretty bad, because a couple times my laptop has even hard locked. I haven't tried listening to any music on my desktop to see if it also has the problem. I suppose that I should also mention that I'm running Ubuntu amd64, not Kubuntu. -- intrepid - rhythmbox just stops playing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257523 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
