X team, does that make sense? Alternate build dependencies (which is what this comes down to, since it's a -dev) are always a bit fishy, especially with non-free alternatives. Why didn't that lead to problems when building packages in intrepid?
This should be discussed with the Ubuntu/Debian X teams first and get fixed there.
