Tried to use another machine running xubuntu 6.10 but on an amd xp 3000 barton cpu, 512 mb ram.
It seems like the same thing happens, and the receiving box stated in my previous comment goes to 100% system load. using midnight commander i tried to copy an dvd iso image from the AMD machine to the INTEL box. after transfering 53% i got an error message stating: "File size exceeded."
