I confirm this bug. After upgrading from Dapper to Edgy I lost all of the keyboard models.
Maybe the following is another related bug but I'm including it here just in case: I'm using a Logitech Access keyboard which was properly working in Debian Sarge when the keyboard model was chosen in "keyboard layouts". When changing to Kubuntu Dapper I lost the volume-up feature in the corresponding special key (however, the volume-down key is working well). This bug still remains in Edgy.
