The pop-up window that appears on your screen when you download a file from your Firefox browser, hangs -- i.e., freezes your computer -- i.e., suspends all processes on your computer -- i.e, makes your OS more like Windows -- after the file is downloaded.
Sometimes this window responds to a force-quit, other times it does not respond to a force-quit. This could be a wide-spread instability. I simply don't know how to make this description any more clear. If you don't like the words "pop-up window" then change it to a phrase that is really, really, really arcane and scientific-sounding -- something devilishly obtuse -- something that would make the phenomenon sound like something that would scare away 99% of all the computer scientists in the world. :p Thanks for the help, Robert -- Downloads pop-up window hangs after file is downloaded https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/291990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
