Public bug reported:

I am having DMA issues with the kernel 2.6.19-6, because the module
via82cxxx.ko is missing from the package. ide_generic.ko does not let me
turn on DMA in my IDE interface.

I can solve my trouble by recompiling my kernel:

# make menuconfig
# Device Drivers -> ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support
# Go to item "VIA82CXXX chipset support" and Select <M>
# make
# make modules_install
# make install

But I must repeat that big work every time apt-get detects a new kernel
in the repository. So, I opened this bug report.

via82cxxx.ko was included in 2.6.17 package (from Edgy Eft).
