** Description changed: This printer functioned flawlessly in Hardy Heron, but since 2.6.27-4 in the Intrepid beta, persisting through revision 7, test pages and documents in any program like OpenOffice or Firefox only print indiscernible ASCII characters with infinite paper feed until the printer is shut down. Although I don't know a particular package to blame, I'd assume the bug exists in CUPS or hpoj. The printer has been tested successfully in XP, so I can rule out hardware failure. + + With Kubuntu 8.04, the driver is not in the listing when it's time to + add a printer. Even with the .pdd file from linux printing.org , this + printer doesn't work properly. The printer start to print and after few + lines, it's stop. Printer get in error. But everything work all right + with Gutsy.
