I could not mount my USB device at first. However I could force a mount.
The device gives a prompt that explains that you can mount the device by
the following commands:

sudo mkdir /media/disk
sudo mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb1 /media/disk -o force

However, the prompt also says that adding a particular line to the
/etc/fstab should resolve it. That does not happen though. It refuses to
mount saying that I do not have the privilege to mount the device. That
is odd, because no other device complained about that. How can you set
the other devices? Can this bug be fixed please?

What exactly went wrong and how can we avoid letting a perfectly working
package go awry?
