I own a Fujitsu Lifebook S7210.

Basically, the situation is the same as described by Bruce Wolfe. The
Fn+F6/F7 keys were not working at all on Hardy. I wasn't able to change
screen brightness in any way. xbacklight could dim the screen, but I
think it wasn't using ACPI and I didn't have the feeling that I could
use my laptop longer, i.e. it probably didn't use less power.

Now with Intrepid, the keys are bringing up a little meter and change this
supposed brightness value, and /proc/acpi/video/GFX0/LCD/brightness reflects
those changes too...
but the *actual*, observed brightness doesn't change.

Unlike Bruce, plugging/unplugging AC doesn't bring up anything.

I am ready as well to run some tests and to help in fixing this...
