This is not a duplicate! The usb id is different, thus gspca ought to have been amended for that usb id. Web cam support is by Usb Id. I say this because I have > Bus 005 Device 002: ID 413c:a005 Dell Computer Corp. The link talks about a labtec camera, may well be same chipset, differing usb id. From what I understand requires a the id being added in the header for it to be working. The dupe post talks of tests against a different web cam. This web cam works under fedora 9 fine. So it is doable. I am no expert on ubuntu, else i would have downloaded the drivers and compiled them myself. uname -a Linux zume 2.6.27-7-generic #1 SMP Thu Oct 30 04:18:38 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux more attached. If the is anything else please email. I will go on to the main support forums now and ask there as well. ** Attachment added: "dmesg.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/19176511/dmesg.txt -- webcam not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/86064 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
