SUMMARY:
After successful installation of the latest Kubuntu release (8.10), I've
noticed that each time I attempt to do anything within the window environment,
my screen goes blank, and then reappears. This often seems to happen when I'm
either accessing the keyboard or mouse (pretty much *all* the time) -- a very
annoying problem!!! My 'gut reaction' tells me this is likely an X Window
thing.

EXPECTED RESULT:
While using the mouse or keyboard, the monitor (screen) should NOT go blank
every few seconds.
ACTUAL RESULT:
The monitor goes blank for a few seconds and then reappears each time I use
either the mouse or keyboard
