For the discover1-data bug, you can try replacing "unknown" with 
"Server:XFree86(savage)" on the 53338d01 line. To do this on the live CD before 
the xorg.conf is created, you can boot with break=casper-bottom and at the 
(initramfs) prompt do:
chroot /root nano /lib/discover/pci.lst
Just exit the shell afterwards to continue booting.
