Public bug reported:
I have been having this problem. While watching video using vlc in
fullscreen mode, at a random moment compiz crashed silently. I was
never sure when it occurred, just that once I exited fullscreen, compiz
is no longer running.
In my syslog, I got these two lines, which I believed is related to the
crash:
Oct 30 23:24:01 undefined-dt kernel: [ 6051.736506] __ratelimit: 3 callbacks
suppressed
Oct 30 23:24:01 undefined-dt kernel: [ 6051.736516] compiz.real[6731]: segfault
at 10 ip 00007f2837e706ec sp 00007fff4250e7a0 error 6 in
libc-2.8.90.so[7f2837df4000+169000]
