Gateway MX8741: 1.83GHz Core 2 Duo, 1024MB DDR2, Intel 943GML Chipset (GMA 950 graphics), rtl8187B wireless. Upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy and then immediately to Intrepid. Primary objective was to get the new Network Manager Applet 0.7.0, other wireless improvements and the ability to go fullscreen in Youtube. Have tested using NM too connect to hidden networks both secure (WPA-TKIP) and unsecured, with success.
Under Gutsy the system would resume from suspend but, shutdown immediately, usually before the password could be entered at the password dialog. When re-started, the system would return to the pre- suspend state with an error message that there was a problem with the suspend process. Sometimes the system would be unstable after the resume requiring a re-start. After the upgrade suspend/hibernate cause the system to hang with a white square in the top left corner of the screen, just as taiebot65 described requiring a hard reboot. I don't know which logs will help resolve the issue or where to find them. -- regression Suspend/Hibernate intrepid Gateway notebook ML6226B https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/279371 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
