I can confirm that this is still a problem. It's even more a problem that somtimes I suspend doesn't work (e.g. when transmission bittorrent is running, or because of another issue). And if I don't have access to another computer to ssh into my box, I am then forced to hard stop the machine. I am strongly considering to pay for support to solve this issue. Or find an appropriate work-around.
